EDWIN G. PAULSON

Page 4

. Project manager for design of inflatable dam spillway modifications and 100-year hydraulic
intake structure for Lake Las Vegas
. Project manager for hydraulic modeling and conceptual design of canal cross drainage and
spillway system in Heber Valley, Utah
. Project engineer for preliminary design of restoration of 10 miles of the Provo River in
central Utah to improve fishery habitat, wetland values, river mechanics, and rccreation
opportunities (hydrology, floodplain analysis, river system design)
. Project manager for design of channel stabilization features for j\'orthridge Tributary to Dad
Clark Gulch in Denver, Colorado
. Project engineer for predesign of a complex rctention basin (Lake Dalwigk) in Vallejo,
California
. Project engineer for preliminary design of the Van Buskirk channel/detention basin system in
Las Vegas, Nevada
· Project engineer for design of open and buried conveyance system in Burbank, California
using WSPG
. Hydraulic design of Upper F03 Storm Drain in Costa Mesa, California and Portola Avenue
Storm Drain in Palm Desert, California

Dams and Reservoirs

Mr. Paulson has carried out analyses of existing and proposed reservoir systems for the purpose
of determining potential water supply and hydropower availability, These analyses required
utilizing the HEC-5 reservoir system simulation computer program, the HEC-4 streamflow
generation computer program, and the HYDUR hydropower feasibility analysis computer
program, He has investigated drought conditions in a river-reservoir system, and evaluated dam
spillways with respect to their capability to handle severe flood events such as the probable
maximum flood. He has also completed dambreak inundation studies and associated Emergency
Action Plans, Completed projects include:

· Project manager for evaluation of spillway modifications at Lake Las Vegas
· Project manager for dambreak inundation studies for Littlerock Dam near Palmdale,
California; and Henshaw Dam and Lake Wohlford in San Diego County, California
. Reservoir system simulation for a yield study for Marlette Lake and Hobart Reservoir in
western Nevada
· Reservoir system simulation a yield study for Lake Lavon and Lake Texoma in Texas
. Feasibility study and modeling (water supply, flood control, hydropower, and in stream flows)
for the proposed North Fork Snoqualmie Reservoir in Washington
· Reservoir system simulation to maximize yield for Loveland and Sweetwater Reservoirs in
San Diego County, California
. Reservoir system simulation to maximize yield for the Otay Reservoir System in San Diego
County, California
· Simulation of the operation of Lopez Reservoir in San Luis Obispo County, California

MONTGOMEFlY WATSON @)
