<br />... <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />PROSPECTUS FOR A MANCOS CANYON INDIAN PARK <br /> <br />The Ute Mountain Tribe is developing an archeological and Ute historical <br /> <br /> <br />park on their tribal homelands in southwestern Colorado near Mesa Verde <br /> <br /> <br />National Park. The entire 125,000 acre park area is listed in the National <br /> <br /> <br />Register of Historic Places because of the significance of its archeologi- <br /> <br /> <br />cal and cultural sites. The purposes of developing the park are to open <br /> <br /> <br />the vast archeological and cultural treasures of their lands to public view <br /> <br /> <br />and to provide needed income and employment to the tribe and its members. <br /> <br />This brochure presents a preview of some of the planned developments. <br />
