It was prepared by the U. S. Department of <br /> <br />Exhibit B-2 <br /> <br />Agriculture, Soil Conservation Service, in cooperation with the Colorado <br /> <br />Exhibit B-3 <br /> <br />Water Conservation Board, the Upper San Juan Region Planning Commission, <br /> <br />Archuleta County, the town of Pagosa Springs, and the San Juan Soil <br /> <br />Conservation District. <br /> <br />Tables 1 and 2 <br />,Table 3 <br />Table 4 <br />Table 5 <br />Table 6 <br /> <br />Primary purpose of this report is to provide large scale detailed <br /> <br />mapping of the flood hazard areas. Without detailed mapping, it is very <br />difficult to implement a workable flood plain management program which <br /> <br />will minimize potential flood losses. Detailed flood hazard maps are <br /> <br />C-I <br /> <br />C-l <br />C-2 <br />C-2 <br />C-4 <br />C-6 <br /> <br />needed to administer flood plain management regulations. Included in <br /> <br />the report are engineering and hydrologic data which will facilitate ,the <br /> <br />use of the-maps. The data should be useful in developing a master <br /> <br />drainage plan, in road and bridge plans and design, and in the 'planning <br /> <br />C-7 <br /> <br />of channel modification, and flood control structures - if needed. The <br /> <br />report contains interpretations of the flood hazard analyses and recom- <br /> <br />c-8 <br /> <br />mendations to reduce flood damages. However, it is beyond the scope of <br />
