Monitoring System and Evaluation Plan <br /> <br />In creating this flood hazard mitigation plan, Otero County and the City of La Junta will impact <br />public safety, thus making Southeastern Colorado a more secure place in which to live, do business and <br />raise a family. <br /> <br />The plan will fonnally structure and jointly coordinate the activities, resources and functions of <br />participating entities, Thus, it is anticipated that the plan will herald new horizons of cooperation <br />between local governments, resulting in expanded future efforts at collaboration, <br /> <br />Responsible parties for both the city and county, Klein and Ehrlich, will collect and report <br />statistics and anecdotal data, in addition to progress in achieving the project's objectives, identifications <br />of changes needed, challenges and obstacles identified and/or overcome and project impact on the <br />community. <br /> <br />In addition, Klein and Ehrlich will identi1)r and descnoe what data will be collected, from what <br />source the data will come, how often it will be collected and how it will be collected. Based on the <br />results of the data collected, they will jointly create a cost-benefit analysis for the project. <br /> <br />23 <br />
