Enclosed is a progress reporting form for each study being conducted in
your district, two blank forms for any studies overlooked here, and an
illustration of the desired format. The steps and percents should fit
most. riverene studies that do not have' comp"1etely furnished survey. data.
Tidal or tidal-riverene studies will require modification of the form.
Some very late studies that originally required no formal meeting can be
handled by having the ceo set up the final community meeting as the
formal one. New county st~dies that include all the incorporated towns
should be handled as separate reports. One. progress form will be kept
for the unincorporated area and one for each incorporated community.

,

.

This form, or a similar one being developed by HUD, will be part of all
.future studies. The original form will stay with the study. A copy
should be sent to Surface "ater Branch so as to arrive here before the

first day of e2ch q'2Cirte::::-. 1':;OY '.lill be asse!!'blcd here 2....'1d se:!t 'to HUD
in one batch. This will .s2tisfy the reporting requirements of e,e
interagenc-j agreement. Districts may discon~inue the quarterly reports
now going directly to HUD.
;

The primary use of this form is tq give BUD up-to-date reports on status
of each study and doclli"entation that the legally required meetings for
citizen input were .held on the stated date. Lack of such reports.was the
only serious shortcoming of our BUD operation that has so far been pointed
out by the G!'.O.
