Peurson Log III is a combination of rainfall/snowmelt runoff occurring during months of Mayor
June. Peak usually occurs mid-Juneiuntil that time rainfall falling on the snow reduces runoff.
After peak snowmeft runoff, rainfall increases stream flow. Goose Pasture Tarn has little or
effect on attenuating this storm due to the long duration hydrograp~.

2. MITCAT storm is in basin above Tarn. Storm is s~~er thunderstorm type of short duration and
high intensity. Tarn effective in attenuating this type of storm. Storm assumed to occur in
July or August when Blue River has moderate base flow.

3. The stor.m below Tarn is either MITCAT derived thunderstorm event or statistical analysis reduction
Whichever controlled. and occu~over only one of the tributary basins of the Blue River below Tarn.
A base flow is included.

4. The type of ~vQnt which produced the maximun runoff for the frequency indicated is underlined and
was used as the design flow for flood plain delineati.on.
