Gentlemen:

Enclosed herewith is the report concerning the engineering stlldy
of the Cottonwood Creek Drainage Basin, allthorized by the City
COllncil of the City of Colorado Springs, the Colorado Springs
Drainage Board, and the PlIblic Works Department of the City of
Colorado Springs.

This stlldy incllldes an overview of basin geology, rainfall/
rllnoff characteristics, hydrologic history and of the channel
improvements existing in the basin. Additions to existing
drainage improvements are recommended in this stlldy, together
with rating and some lIpgrading of the existing strllctllres,

The stlldy may be lIsed as a master gllide for drainage improve-
ments within the basin, The inclllded recommendations shollld be
lIsed as a gllide, not as an inflexible design.
