No. 121 <br /> <br />) <br /> <br />COLORADO WATER CONSERVATION BOARD <br />823 State Centennial Building <br />1313 Sherman Street <br />Denver, Colorado 80203 <br /> <br />November 1, 1978 <br /> <br />RES 0 L'U TI 0 N <br /> <br />WHEREAS a floodplain information report entitled <br />"Flood Hazard Area Delineation, Massey Draw & North Tributary, <br />SJCD (South) 6200 & Tributaries, Jefferson County and Arapahoe <br />County, Colorado," dated blay, 1978, has been prepared by Leonard <br />Rice Consulting Water Engineers, Inc., at the request of.the <br />Urban Drainage and Flood Control District, Jefferson County, <br />and Arapahoe County; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said report describes and outlines the flood- <br />plain data and information for the storm and floodwater runoff <br />channels or basins of the study area; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Urban Drainage & Flood Control bistrict <br />has requested the Colorado Water Conservation Board to designate <br />and approve the floodplain areas as'set forth in the aforesaid <br />report; and <br /> <br />) <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Section 37-60-106(1), Colorado Revised <br />Statutes 1973 requires the Colorado Water Conservation Board to <br />assist intb&prevention of floods and flood damages therefrom; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Sections 31-23-201 and 30-28-111, Colorado <br />Revised Statutes 1973, provide that such legislative bodies <br />of local jurisdictions may provide zoning regulations for land <br />uses on or along any storm or floodwater runoff channel or basin <br />only after designation and approval by the Colorado Water <br />Conservation Board; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Section 37-60-106(1) (c), Colorado Revised <br />Statutes 1973, directs the Colorado Water Conservation Board <br />to designate and approve storm or floodwater runoff channels <br />or basins and to make such designations avialable to legislative <br />bodies of local jurisdictions; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the staff of the Board has reviewed said <br />report and does hereby recommend to the Colorado Water Conservation <br />Board that the Board designate and approve as floodplain areas <br />those areas inundated by a lOa-year flood (intermediate regional <br />flood) as described by the floodwater surface elevations and <br />profiles in said report; <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Colorado Water <br />Conservation Board in regular meeting assembled in Denver, Colorado, <br />
