The flood plein Is about 70 percent developed In the reach trom <br />the mouth to Wadsworth Boulevard. from Wadsworth Boulevard to the up- <br />stream limit of the study reach there Is lfttledevelopmentMdagrlcul- <br />turelsthepredomlnentuse. Land use In the overall study reach Is <br />ebout 12 percent commercial, 24 percent residential, 9 percent trans- <br />portation, 4 percent public property, with the balance In miscellaneous <br />uses. Floods In the basin <br />usually result from Intense rainstorms In the SUnYl18r months. The <br />Sheridan stream gogo, with stream tlow records from 1927 to the present, <br />Is located at Lowell Boulevard. Asecondstreamgagols located at <br />Morrison, about 2 mIles upstream of the study reach, with partial records <br />datingbacktolB88.
