<br />UJUU <br /> <br />APPENDIX D <br /> <br />;t-- <br /> <br />') <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Soil Conservation Service, Denver, Colorado, <br />has completed a flood plain information report for the Boxelder Creek <br />watershed, Larimer County, Colorado; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said flood plain information report outllnes and gl,','<,' <br />describes the flood water runoff 'channel within the above described .~ <br />areas under present conditions and for the conditions that will exist <br />upon completion of all the structural measures proposed in the Box- <br />elder Creek Watershed Project being developed by the Soil Conservation <br />Service under authority of Public Law 566 as amended; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Article 149-i-ll(4), Colorado Revised Statutes <br />1963, requires that the Colorado Water Conservation Board designate <br />and approve storm or flood water runoff channels and to make such <br />designations available to legislative bodies of local jurisdictions; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Article 139-60-1, Colorado Revised Statutes 1963, <br />provides that such cities,towns, incorporated areas and local juris- <br />dictions shall provide zoning regulations for any storm or fiood <br />water runoff channel only after designation and approval by the Colo- <br />rado Water Conservation Board; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners, Larimer County, <br />Colorado, has requested the Colorado Water Conservation Board to <br />designate and approve the ,storm and flood water .runoff channels as <br />set forth in the aforesaid Soil Conservation Service flood informa- <br />tion report; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the staff of the Board has reviewed said flood <br />plain information report and does recommend to the Colorado Water Con- <br />servation Board that said Board designate and approve as flood hazard <br />areas those areas set forth in the report as being subject to a flood <br />havlng a recurrence interval of once in a hundred years under present <br />conditions, and the area that would be flooded by a flood of a recur- <br />rence interval of once ina hundred years under conditions that will <br />exist upon completion of the proposed structural measures in the <br />Boxelder Creek Water Project; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Colorado Water Conser- <br />vation Board in regular ,meeting assembled in Denver" Colorado, this' <br />3rd day of June, 1970, that it hereby designates and approves as <br />flood hazard areas those areas described as being inundated by,floods <br /> <br />8 <br /> <br />"" <br />
