WHEREAS, the Soil Conservation Service, Denver, Colorado,
has completed a flood plain information report for the Boxelder Creek
watershed, Larimer County, Colorado; and

WHEREAS, said flood plain information report outllnes and gl,','<,'
describes the flood water runoff 'channel within the above described .~
areas under present conditions and for the conditions that will exist
upon completion of all the structural measures proposed in the Box-
elder Creek Watershed Project being developed by the Soil Conservation
Service under authority of Public Law 566 as amended; and

WHEREAS, Article 149-i-ll(4), Colorado Revised Statutes
1963, requires that the Colorado Water Conservation Board designate
and approve storm or flood water runoff channels and to make such
designations available to legislative bodies of local jurisdictions;
and

WHEREAS, Article 139-60-1, Colorado Revised Statutes 1963,
provides that such cities,towns, incorporated areas and local juris-
dictions shall provide zoning regulations for any storm or fiood
water runoff channel only after designation and approval by the Colo-
rado Water Conservation Board; and

WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners, Larimer County,
Colorado, has requested the Colorado Water Conservation Board to
designate and approve the ,storm and flood water .runoff channels as
set forth in the aforesaid Soil Conservation Service flood informa-
tion report; and

WHEREAS, the staff of the Board has reviewed said flood
plain information report and does recommend to the Colorado Water Con-
servation Board that said Board designate and approve as flood hazard
areas those areas set forth in the report as being subject to a flood
havlng a recurrence interval of once in a hundred years under present
conditions, and the area that would be flooded by a flood of a recur-
rence interval of once ina hundred years under conditions that will
exist upon completion of the proposed structural measures in the
Boxelder Creek Water Project;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Colorado Water Conser-
vation Board in regular ,meeting assembled in Denver" Colorado, this'
3rd day of June, 1970, that it hereby designates and approves as
flood hazard areas those areas described as being inundated by,floods
