Last year, Ihe Stampede brought about $1 0
million into the community, MacQuiddy
said. It was the largest event in Northern Col-
orado with 350,000 people attending,
"Attendance will be up significantly this
year," said Lynn Settjc. executive director of
the Stampede, "It's a little hard to dictate at
this point because a lot of things huppen the
day of the event. All predictions now are that
we ',.c ~lhead of last year in sales."
M;]cQuiddy said hopes are even higher
this year because of the big-name acts, stich
as Brooks and Dunn who have won the Acad-
emy of Country Music entertainer ofthe year
