Figures I through 4 show the five frequency hydro graphs of the Los Pinos River at
Bayfield, near Beaver Creek, at Ute Creek, and at Spring Creek,

TABLE 3
DISCHARGE FREQUENCY PEAKS
LOS PINOS RIVER
LOCATION Drainage 10.0%- 4,0%- 2.0%- \.0%- 0.2%,
Area Chance Flood Chance Flood Chance Flood Chance Flood Chance Flood
(square Discharge Discharge Discharge Discharge Discharge
miles) (cfs) (cfs) (cts) (cfs) (cfs)
Los Pinos River
uear Columbus, 32 3800 4600 5400 6500 10000
Colorado
Los Pmos River at
Bear Creek 58 4100 5300 6500 8200 13400
Los Pmos River at
Bayfield, Colorado 70 4200 5500 6800 8700 14900
Los Pinos River
above Ignacio, 166 6100 8600 11400 15100 26300
Colorado
Los Pinos River
through Ignacio, 214 6100 8600 11300 15000 26300
Colorado
Los Pinos River at
La Boca, Colorado 304 7100 10700 15000 20800 38600

The HEC-I model, as developed by the Albuquerque District, includes several combination
points where tributary inflow hydro graphs are added to the Los Pinos River hydro graph, At
combination point four (COM-4), upstream from Ignacio, several subbasin inflow hydrographs are
combined, including Beaver Creek The flood water from Beaver Creek joins the Los Pinos River
6
