<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />The old, inactive Ignacio wastewater treatment facility is at flooding and erosion risk due to <br />its proximity to the main channel of the Los Pinos River and its location within the flood plain, <br />Community officials should have this facility evaluated to assess the risk, and take appropriate <br />measures to protect or reclaim this facility, <br /> <br />It is recommended that the Southern Ute Indian Reservation or La Plata County install more <br />rainfall and stream gages in the watershed, Additional rainfall gages may be monitored by community <br />officials and/or local volunteers, It is recommended that a stream gage be placed on the Los Pinos <br />River at or near Ignacio, In addition, a system for recording flood stages and other pertinent <br />information should be developed to help refine the hydrology in the future, <br /> <br />17 <br />
