No. 105 <br /> <br />COLORADO WATER CONSERVATION BOARD <br />823 State Centennial Building <br />1313 Sherman Street <br />Denver, Colorado 80203 <br /> <br />May 12, 1978 <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />) <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Section 37-60-106(1), Colorado Revised Statutes <br />1973, requires the Colorado Water Conservation Board to assist i1;1 <br />the prevention of floods and flood damages therefrom; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Sections 3l~23-20l and 30-28-111, Colorado Revised <br />Statutes 1973, provide that such legislative bodies of local juris- <br />dictions may provide zoning regulations for land uses on or along any <br />storm or floodwater runoff channel or basin only after designation <br />and approval by the Colorado Water Conservation Board; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Section 37-60-106(1) (c), Colorado Revised Statutes <br />1973, directs the Colorado Water Conservation Board.to designate and <br />approve storm or floodwater runoff channels or basins and to make <br />such designations available to legislative bodies of local jurisdic- <br />tions; and . . <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the staff of the Board has reviewed said report <br />and does hereby recommend to the Colorado Water Conservation Board <br />that the Board designate and approve as floodplain areas those areas <br />inundated by a 100-year flood (intermediate regional flood) as <br />described by the floodwater surface elevations and profiles in said <br />report; . <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Colorado Water Conser- <br />vation Board in regular meeting assembled in Montrose, Colorado, <br />this 12th day of May, 1978, that it does hereby designate and approve <br />as floodplain areas those areas described as being inundated by a <br />100-year flood as set forth in said report; and <br />
