<br />flow in the East River, and to minimize the duration of its diversions <br />which cause said flow to fall below 7 CFS at the point of diversion of <br />the pump station of the Crested Butte Water and Sanitation District." <br />CBMR operates streamflow measuring equipment in the East River to monitor <br />instream flows. <br /> <br />CBMR also holds a conditional water right for snowmaking on Crested <br />Butte North Mountain in the amount of 5.0 cfs which was adjudicated in <br />1982. CBMR is limited to making its diversions between October 1 and <br />April 30 in its snowmaking decrees. <br /> <br />B.2.5 7 Sky1and <br /> <br />The Skyland development and resort which is located south of Crested <br />Butte has its own water supply system, operated by the Sky1and <br />Metropolitan District. Covering 600 acres, the District currently serves <br />about 50 homes in addition to the resort and clubhouse. Taps are <br />unmetered and water is billed at a flat rate. The system is fed by the <br />Decker Ditch springs with the collection system located in the <br />mountainside along the east side of the development. The water right on <br />these springs is for 1.875 cfs, adjudicated in 1924. Water is collected <br />in a wetwell, then chlorinated and pumped to distribution. The resort <br />includes an 18-hole golf course which has a separate irrigation system <br />with water pumped out of Lake Grant. Natural springs are the source of <br />water for the Lake Grant. <br /> <br />B.2.5.8 Lake City <br /> <br />The water supply system for Lake City is operated by the Lake City <br />Area Water and Sanitation District and serves a population of 500. The <br />primary water supply comes from two wells with pumping capacities of 750 <br />gpm and 500 gpm. An infiltration gallery in Henson Creek feeds another <br />750 gpm pump to provide an emergency backup supply.
