I <br />I <br />I I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />Following completion of the planning of the <br />Boulder in Apri I, 1969, the City of Boulder <br />fall in May of 1969 amounting to 6,4 inches. <br />Boulder made it evident that the planning of <br />was necessary too. This master planning was <br /> <br />major drainageways in North <br />experienced a 72 hour rain- <br />The resulting flooding in <br />drainageways in South Boulder <br />authorized early in 1970, <br /> <br />The April, 1969 report is entitled "Pi 1 oLE.lannLng--S tudy for AreaWide <br />Storm Drainage Planning". It was prepared for the Denver Regional Council <br />of Governments with financial support from the City of Boulder, and the <br />County of Boulder. The reader is referred to that c9mpanion report in <br />three volumes, <br /> <br />During 1969 the City of Boulder and County of Boulder adopted the Urban <br />Storm Drainage Criteria Manual and flood plain regulations which repre- <br />sented significant steps forward in flood plain management and urban <br />drainage efforts.
