These documents
were FAXed to Mr. Tom Browning on July 19, 1994.

During a 19, 1994, telephone conversation, Mr. Browning
indicated tha the flood plain maps provided to you did not show
the location f the floodway. Review of our flood plain maps
indicate the ntire project area is within the floodway (see
enclosed maps). Therefore, as per paragraph Sa of the Scope of
Work, a levee cannot be constructed.

A flood pain analysis must still be completed to determine
the maximum e evation of the sill structure. However, an
adjustment in the levee design work effort is necessary. The
Omaha Distric 's Contracting Division will be contacting you to
set up a time to negotiate a modification to the work order.

If you ha e any questions, please contact John Remus at (402)
221-4620.

Sincerely,

JU~

Richard D.
