Hydrology <br />prepared by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has been approved by FEMA and the Colorado <br />Water Conservation Board (CWCB). The floodway was discussed. Differences between the split <br />fl0w model aad the floodplain model to determine th,~ floodway were noted. <br /> <br />S;,tU Carlson reqU(:sted that BFE's be added to the floodplain map so that the City of Florence <br />(City) can get a better grasp on the relative daagers Ulat e~xist in the floodplain. Once the BFE map <br />is iJrepared, the CWCB will prepare a depth of inundation map. <br /> <br />Tlie City asked the following question: Why should the City adopt a new flood.way?
