FEMA aad Corps of Engineers are to agree on hydrology to be used for the following <br />streams which are all tributary to the City of F1011~nce: aad whose floodplains aU overlap <br />each other: <br /> <br />. Chaanler Creek <br />. Oak Creek <br />. Coal Creek <br /> <br />. Information pertinent to the City of Florence study: <br /> <br />. There are 271 residents, a school aad a hospita11ocated within the Oak Cree:k <br />100-year floodplain (but not within the overlapped, floodplain). <br /> <br />. Approximately $25 million in damages are exp<~cte<d, from a 100-year event. <br />. Corps of Engin1eers has 1977 aerial study <br /> <br />. There needs to be an agreement on Oak Crl"..ek HEC-2 cross se~ction aligmmmts before <br />study proceeds.. <br /> <br />. FEMA is to submit draft study to the City of Florence. The City is to design bridges <br />(Corps of Engineers is to fund study). The City is ~D send the new bridge information <br />to FEMA. <br /> <br />. Several meetings will be held until all parties (City, Corps of Engineers, FEMA, <br />CWCB and developer) agree to signing off 011 the following items: <br /> <br />. Hydrology <br />. Cross Section Aligrunents <br />. HEC-2 Model <br /> <br />. There will need to be agreement on where thl~ fil:ld survey cross sectiollil in main <br />chIDme1 are located. All bridge openings will be: field surveyed as a part of lile LMMP <br />study. <br /> <br />. Larry Laag (C'NCB) waats few cross sections used in the HEC-2 model. Too many <br />cross sections (:Quld give erroneous results. <br /> <br />. Corps of Engineers are to provide cross section d~lta to FEMA: <br /> <br />. Stream Stationing aad whole cross section daWI <br />. FEMA to verify data <br /> <br />. The topographilc maps have been checked (1 n = 100' with 2' contour intervals). <br /> <br />. City of Florence is to provide benchmarks. <br /> <br />. FEMA's consultant is to field survey bridge opcmings aad SO-feet ups:tream aad <br />downstream of bridge openings. There are 4 bridgl~s on Oak Creek. We IDe to aSUffie <br />that all bridges are in place. <br /> <br />. No debris blockage is to be considered in the study. <br />
