The state of Colorado (combined grants to CWCB and UDFCD) received approximately
S 1.000.000 in FE~lA CTP funding during FY 03. with total statewide expenditures on the order
ofS 1.5 mtllion. oncc local and state shares arc included. This amount is sit,.'Tlificantly less than
the estimated annual cost that would be required to implement this Plan. In fact. S] .500,000 per
year rt'presents abt)ut 45% of the "Il\\\'" funding level indicated in Table 4.2 below.

As depictcd in Figure 4.1 there are no unfunded costs for the Full Fundmg option. HO\vc\er with
each of the other three funding optlOns in Table -L~ above there are funding shortfalls that will
leave certain needs (such as new hydraulic analyses or being able to provide Iloodplain data to
all Colorado residents) unmet. The degree of potentially' unmet needs (depending on the level of
funding provided) is illustrated in Fih'lJre 4.2 below.
