<br />e <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />FPR 94-349 <br /> <br />COLORADO WATER CONSERVATION BOARD <br />721 State Celltennial Building <br />1313 Sherman Street <br />Denver, Colorado 80203 <br /> <br />January 20, 1994 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a new report entitled "Flood Hazard Area Delineation, Beebe Draw and <br />Left Bank Tributaries," dated July 1993, has been prepared by the Urban Drainage and <br />Flood Control District; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said new report provides detailed floodplain information for Beebe <br />Draw (4.4 miles) Redwing Creek (0.9 miles), Meadowlark Run (1.2 miles) and Magpie Run <br />(0.9 miles); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the detailed floodplain information contained in said new report relating <br />to Beebe Draw describes the floodplain immediately downstream of Barr Lake which is not <br />a flood control reservoir;and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the reservoir provides nO flood control benefits and, therefore, its effects <br />were not considered in the hydrologic analysis for Beebe Draw; and <br /> <br />, WHEREAS, Adams County, Colorado, and the Urban Drainage and Flood Control <br />District has requested the Colorado Water Conservation Board to designate and approve <br />the floodplains set forth in the aforesaid new report; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Section 37-60-106(1)(c), Colorado Revised Statutes, requires the <br />Colorado Water Conservation Board to assist in the prevention of floods and flood damages <br />therefrom; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Sections 31-23-301 and 30-28-111, Colorado Revised Statutes, provide <br />that legislative bodies of local jurisdictions may provide zoning regulations for land uses on <br />or along any storm or floodwater runoff channel or basin only after designation and <br />approval by the Colorado Water Conservation Board; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Section 37 -60-106( 1 )( c), Colorado Revised Statutes, directs the Colorado <br />Water Conservation Board to designate and approve storm or floodwater runoff channels <br />or basins and to make such designations available to legislative bodies of local jurisdictions; <br />and ' <br />
