I
have the following comments in addition to my l~ditorial comments that
I will send shortly.

I am having a little trouble with the pagE: numbering system for
Section 4. (I may be missing some pages, but I'm not sure.) ~i1ill the
figu~es have page numbers, or do t;hey hold the place of a page number?
It seems like the l1x17 pages take up two page rrJ.mbers? I'm not
sure.

The Horgan County section focuses primarily on Weldona. I would like
to have the report provide additional information about the remainder
of the County where it's available. For examp1e, the heaviest and
most intense rainfall from the 7/29 storm fell outside of Weldona.
NWS radar estimates are in the 10+ inches for .~he storm total. We
really need to include this kind of thing, even tnough there's no
specific community downstream of that storm center. I don't expecl:.
hydrographs and detailed damage descriptions for everything, but I
would like more of a countywide focus, with an emphasis on Weldona of
course. Once the location of the maximum precip is identified, we
might make this area a candidate to do field work, measure high wa!:.er
marks, and do some hydraulic calculations.

I got side tracked.

I'll have to finish later.

Tom

Markus Ritsch

--1--

Wed, 22 Apr 1998 08:35:37
