Date sent:
-~rom:
3ubject:
To:

Mon, 13 Apr 1998 07:52:53 -0400
Dawn.Jacoby@fema.gov
Re[2]: report for 5 counties
"Bill Owen" <wjo@riverside,com>

the assistance program that i work with is only involved in the restoration of
public property and in public health and safety. therefore, our program does
not provide any assistance to private individuals or to businesses.

the report i pulled for you is called a D.l report for each county and it does
contain the dollar amount that is associated with the project. this information
is contained in the line above the project title. storm duration, etc. is not
determined for each site unless we are attempting to justify a hazard mitigation
proposal. and then, even though the cost-benefit program we use is sensitive to
the parameter, we generally use a frequency that has been established for the
entire disaster, or at best, for each major drainage. generally, this provides
the applicant with the maximum amount of funding.......which is our goal.

if i can be of any additional assistance please let me know. i know these
reports are not as user friendly as today's databases, so if you want to set up
a meeting, we will do our best to accommodate you. i know We are still having
occasional meetings with applicants in the fort collins area, and perhaps we
could schedule a meeting with you around one of these applicant meetings. of
course, you are always welcome to schedule something here in denver whcre we
have access to the database for the disaster.

Reply Separator
3ubject: Re; report for 5 counties
Author: "Bill Owen" <wjo@riverside.com>
Date: 411 0/98 9:38 AM

Ms. Jacoby:

Thank you for sending over the DSR information. Although my machine
does not have Word 7.0 loaded on it (I only have version 6.0), other
people in our office do have the upgrade. Thus, I was able to read
that info' without any difficulty.

I saw that you specified the following fields in the your database
query;

PROJECT TITLE, DAMAGE FACILITY, DAMAGE LOCATION',
DAMAGE DESCRIPTION, COMMENTS

What are the other fields accessable to your search? Are their
specific damage/cost information about city and personal propcrites
as well? What about storm duration or date(s) of storm(s) that
caused these damages?

I believe the information you sent will be quite valuable for our
report. Thanks for your help.

Bill Owen

..In

Tue, 21 Apr 1998 15:55:31
