<br />CONSISTENCY WITH PREVIOUS FLOODPLAIN STUDIES <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the detailed floodplain information for the studied reaches contained in said new <br />report dated November 2001 for the Plum Creek watershed revises and is, therefore, inconsistent with <br />the previous floodplain information for studied approximate and detailed reaches contained in <br />Resolution No. 530; and <br /> <br />COMPLIANCE WITH CWCB TECHNICAL STANDARDS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said new report is based on hydro graphs that were developed using the Colorado <br />Urban Hydrograph Procedure computer model and then combined and routed using the UDFCD <br />stormwater management model; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, hydraulic analyses were completed for portions of Plum Creek and its tributaries, <br />as listed in Table 2, using the U.S. Army COlpS of Engineers computer backwater model HEC-RAS; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the detailed lOO-year floodplain information for the studied reaches of Plum Creek <br />and its tributaries contained in said new report meets the requirements listed under the Board's "Rules <br />and Regulations for the Designation and Approval of Floodplains and of Storm or Floodwater Runoff <br />Channels in Colorado" (2 CCR 408-1); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Douglas County should continue to regulate new development and construction in <br />floodplain areas on a case-by-case basis based on the information presented in said new report, or based <br />on the best available floodplain information that is accessible to the them; and <br /> <br />DESIGNATION. APPROVAL AND RESCISSION ACTION <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Colorado Water Conservation Board in <br />regular meeting assembled in Northglenn, Colorado, this 23rd day of January 2002, that it does hereby <br />designate and approve as detailed floodplain information the lOO-year floodplain delineations for the <br />stream reaches as listed in Table 2 for the Plum Creek watershed, located within Douglas County and <br />within the Urban Drainage and Flood Control District, contained in said new report dated November <br />2001; and <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Board does hereby rescind the approximate and <br />detailed lOO-year floodplain information contained in Resolution No. 530 for all of the effected stream <br />reaches of the studied streams as listed in Table 2 contained in said new report dated November 2001; <br />and <br /> <br />3 <br />
