<br />/. <br /> <br />[r ~m)N?>>1,TIlI <br /> <br />FEB 03 1977 <br />URBAN DRAINAGE AND FLOOD CONTROL DISTRICT ,__ ___ <br />COLa, \'J"I"" <br />RESOLUTION NO t;" ,SERIES OF 1977 CONSERVATION BOARD <br />(Resolution Accepting-rTOOd Hazard Area Delineation <br />of Westerly Creek) <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Board has previously established a Work Program for 1975, <br />(Resolution No. 31, Series of 1974) which includes delineating flood hazard areas; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Board has previously authorized the Executive Director <br /> <br />to enter into a matching agreement with the Colorado Water Conservation Board for <br /> <br />the purpose of delineating flood hazard areas, for a total cost not to exceed <br />S100,OOO.00 (Resolution No. 29, Series of 1975); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Board has previously authorized the Executive Director <br /> <br />to execute agreements with consulting engineers for the completion of Flood <br /> <br />Hazard Area Delineation Reports (Resolution No. 29, Series of 1975); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Executive Director has executed a contract with Camp, <br /> <br />Dresser and McKee, Inc., for a Flood Hazard Area Delineation Study of Westerly <br /> <br />Creek; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS. the Board has previously indicated its desire that the <br /> <br />results of such studies be provided to the local governments so as to assist such <br /> <br />local governments in meeting the requirements of HB 1041; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT: <br /> <br />1. The Board of Directors of the Urban Drainage and Flood Control <br />District accept the report (Flood Hazard Area Delineation, Westerly Creek. <br /> <br />January. 1977) and recommend its use as a guide in future planning related to <br /> <br />this creek; <br /> <br />2. The Board of Directors of the Urban Drainage and Flood Control <br /> <br />District recommend that Denver and Aurora adopt the report and regulate the <br /> <br />lOO-year flood plain defined in the report; and <br />3. The Board of Directors of the Urban Drainage and Flood Control <br /> <br />District submit the report for designation and approval by the Colorado }:ater <br /> <br />Conservation Board as stated in Section 37-60-106(1)(c), Colorado Revised <br /> <br />Statutes, 1973, as flood hazard areas, those areas described as being inundated <br /> <br />by Camp, Dresser and f'icKee, Inc. <br />
