<br />~'"'- <br /> <br />(~! <br />, , <br /> <br />,f " <br />FlooJ",lain Resolution No, 86 <br /> <br />COLORADO WATER, CONSERVATION BOARD <br />823 state Cente~nial Building <br />1313 Sherman Street <br />Denver, Colo~ado 80203 <br /> <br />November 15, 1977 <br /> <br />(J~~. <br />,~~ -<4 <br />'/0-71 ~ <br />7-17 fIJ' <br /> <br />R E ,~ 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br /><~.;.~. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a floodplain information report entitled "Flood <br />Hazard Area Delineation, Lee Gulch and Little Creek, City of Littleton <br />and Arapahoe County, Colorado," dated July, 1977, has been prepared <br />by Ketchum, Konkel, Barrett, N{ckel, Austin, Inc., at the request of <br />the Urban Draina~ and Flood Control District, the city of Littleton, <br />/' <br />and Arapahoe County; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said report describes and outlines the floodplain <br />data and information for the storm and floodwater runoff channels or <br />basins of the study area; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Urban Drainage and Flood Control District has <br />requested the Colorado Water Conservation Board to designate and <br />approve the floodplain areas as set forth in the aforesaid report; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Section 37-60~106(1), Colorado Revised Statutes <br />1973, requires the Colorado Water Conservation Board to assist in <br />, the prevention of floods and floOd damages' therefrom; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Sections 31-23-201 and 30-28~111" ,Colorado Revised <br />Statutes 1973, provide that such legislative bodies of local juris- <br />dictions may provide zoning regu1.ations for land uses on or along any',,' <br />storm or floodwater runoff chann~l or basin only after designation <br />.., and approval by the .Colorado wat~r Conservation Board; and <br />\.. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Section 37-60-106(1) (cl, colorado Revised Statutes <br />1973, directs the Colorado Water Conservation Board to designate and <br />approve storm or floodwater runOff channels or basins and to make such <br />designations available to legislative bodies of local jurisdictions;' <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the staff of the Board has reviewed said report and <br />does hereby recommend to the Colorado Water Conservation Board that the <br />Board designate and approve as floodplain areas those areas inundated <br />bya laO-year flood (intermediate regional flood) as described by the <br />floodwater surface elevations and profiles in said report; <br />
