Check for normally dry stream <br /> <br />a) Must be dry more than 80 percent of the time. <br /> <br />2. OUtlet requirements <br /> <br />a) Division Engineer's decision <br /> <br />3. Completeness of data <br /> <br />4. Place Division and District on form <br /> <br />5. Place stream code on form <br /> <br />6. Initial original application indicating approval <br /> <br />B. <br /> <br />The structures shall be constructed in accordance with the State <br />Engineer's Standard specifications. <br /> <br />C. The downstream end of spillways must be located at least 20 feet below <br />the toe of the dam. <br /> <br />D. We will accept filings for LSWT which are five feet or less in height <br />from the bottom of the channel to the bottom of the spillway and which <br />impound two acre-feet or less of water. for the record. The structures <br />shall be constructed in accordance with our specifications except for the <br />spillway width tables. <br /> <br />E. There is no minimum size for an Erosion Control Dam. <br /> <br />F. A livestock Water Tank or an Erosion Control Dam will be assigned a <br />current priority number regardless of when it was constructed. -The <br />number will be assigned when approved or accepted for filing. No <br />distinction is made between a Livestock Water Tank or an Erosion COntrol <br />Dam when assigning a number. <br /> <br />G. <br /> <br />Height of dams shall be measured vertically from the lowest point of the <br />upstream toe to the crest of the spillway. [Reservoir Dam, Section <br />37-87-105, C.R.S. (1983 & 1986 supp.), are measured vertically from the <br />centerline]. The scs "gully' formula is not used in Colorado for <br /> <br />determining the height of a dam. Minor gullying of up to 50 square feet <br />in the valley floor may be disregarded in determining the valley floor <br />elevation. Maximum height shall not exceed fifteen feet and the minimum <br />freeboard between the spillway crest and the embankment crest is four <br />feet. <br />
