<br />IZ.C.(I) Stockpiling materials such as rlprap, earthfill, <br />sand, saqdbags and plastic sheeting. <br /> <br />IZ.C.(Z) Lowering the reservoir level by making releases <br />through the outlet or a gated spillway, by pumping, or by siphoning. <br />Where large releases are to be made, the Division Engineer shall be <br />notified. <br /> <br />IZ.C.(3) Armorlng eroded areas by placing sandbags, riprap, <br />plastic sheeting. or other available .aterlal. <br /> <br />IZ.C.(4) Plugging leakage entrances on the upstream slope. <br /> <br />IZ.C.(S) Increasing freeboard by placing sandbags or <br />tellporary earthfill .on the dall. <br /> <br />IZ.C.(6) Diverting flood waters to prevent them frOll <br />entering the reservoir basin. <br /> <br />IZ.C. (7) Constructing training' berms to control flood waters. <br /> <br />IZ.C.(8) Placing sandbag ring dikes around boils at the <br />downstream toe to provide back pressure. . <br /> <br />IZ.C.(9) Removing obstructions from outlet or spillway flow <br /> <br />Ireas. <br /> <br />IZ.O. Lowering the water level by excavating .the spillway or <br />embank~nt Is prohibited unless failure Is imminent. The State <br />Engineer shall be notified as Soon as reasonably possible of any <br />emergency condition that exists and any emergency action taken: <br /> <br />IZ.E. For all Class I and Class II dams, the EIlergency <br />Preparedness Plan must be implemented in conjunction with any <br />emergency actions taken in accordance with Rule IZ.O. <br /> <br />Rule 13. Safe Stora.e Level: <br /> <br />13.A. The State Engineer has the authority to determine the safe <br />storage level for every reservoir in the state. The reservoir owner <br />shall not store water In excess of the amount so determined by the <br />State Engineer to be safe. The owner shall not place flashboards or <br /> <br />- 40 - <br />
