State rcmergency Operations Plan. This plan <br />will attempt to identify e:<i sting resources and resource deficiencies. It <br />can also be used in an attempt to secure additional resources and to provide <br />assistance in establishing hazmat teams or in increasing established hazmat <br />team capabilities throughout Colorado. <br /> <br />Capabilities are defined as personnel, training and equipment. Although this <br />plan can not directly affe" t numbers of personnel, personnel may be <br />indirectly influenced by the offer of quality training and appropriate <br />equipment. We are soliciting information from all jurisdictions in Colorado <br />to support this planning activity. <br /> <br />Request that t.he enclosed questionnaire be completed and returned to DODES, <br />A'ITN: Richard Bardsley, Hazmat Coord., not later than 23 February 1987. <br />Please- do not include any Colorado State Patrol assets in this questionnaire. <br />Any additional comments will be welcomed. <br /> <br />The foLlowing definitions <<iLL be used for the purpose of this questionnaire: <br /> <br />First responder: <br /> <br />Anyone ,,,ho "auld be first on the scene, for example <br />firefighters, law e"t9Xs:em~epresentatives, E;'rl'l~IS, <br />publ rc "orks, etoc. - <br />An)"one or group who would respond to a hazmat incident <br />in addition to the normal first responders. <br />The leader or sUpP.rvisor of the team that responds to <br />a hazmat incident. <br /> <br />Hazmat team: <br /> <br />Hazmat team <br />leader: <br /> <br />Thank you in advance for the time and cooperation given in this effort.
