<br />310 ELEVATION CERTIFICATES <br /> <br />Communily: <br /> <br />NOTE: Section 311,a is required of all communities, <br /> <br />This activity provides credit for maintaining records of flood data and elevations of new <br />buildings on FEMA's Elevation Certificate, For this credit, your community's program must do <br />all of the following: <br /> <br />a, The records must be on a FEMA elevation certificate (FEMA Form 81-31) or FEMA <br />floodproofing certificate (FEMA Form 81-65), Examples of their first pages are on page 1 L <br />You may transfer elevation or floodproofing data from earlier records to the FEMA form, <br />Copies of the forms are available from your FEMA Regional Office, <br /> <br />b, You must maintain completed certificates for all buildings constructed or substantially <br />improved in the Special Flood Hazard Area (SFHA) during the period credited, <br /> <br />c, You musl review the certificates to ensure that the information is correct. Each FEMA <br />Elevation Certificate includes instructions, <br /> <br />d, You must make copies of the certificates available to any inquirer. <br /> <br />311 Credit Points <br /> <br />56 a, All communities applying for a CRS application must apply for this element. Enter 56 <br />points because you will complete and maintain FEMA's certificates for ALL buildings <br />constructed or substantially improved in the SFHA after the date you apply to the CRS, <br /> <br />b, This credit is for maintaining FEMA elevation certificates on buildings buill or <br />substanlially improved during the period between your community's initial FIRM <br />effective date and the date you applied to the CRS, These buildings are known as post- <br />FIRM buildings. Enter 56 points if you have FEMA elevation certificates for all your <br />post-FIRM buildings or enter 14 points if you have FEMA certificales on at least 25% <br />of the buildings built in the SFHA since your initial FIRM date, <br /> <br />c. This credit is for maintaining FEMA elevation certificates on buildings built before your <br />community1s initial FIRM effective date. These buildings are known as pre-FIRM <br />buildings, Enter 15 points if you have FEMA elevation certificates for ALL your pre, <br />FIRM buildings or enter 4 points if you have FEMA certificates on at least 25% of the <br />buildings built in the SFHA before your initial FIRM dale, <br /> <br />d, Enter 10 points if the data from your elevation certificates have been entered into a <br />computer data base. A free copy of computer software for elevation certificates is <br />available (see Appendix B, page 51), <br /> <br />Enter the total of a through d, Enter this value in the blank after "310" on page 47, <br /> <br />314 Application Documentation During the verification visit, you must provide copies <br />of completed certificates to support your credit. <br /> <br />CRS Application <br /> <br />10 <br /> <br />Edition: January 1999 <br />
