<br />e <br /> <br />Ie <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />APPENDJ:X A - EMERGENCY BROADCAST CONTACTS <br /> <br />The news media, including radio, television, and newspapers should be utilized to the extent <br />available for dispensing emergency announcements about conditions at the river, dams, and the <br />effect on the public. Use of the media should be preplanned where possible by the County <br />Emergency Director and other emergency officials. They should coordinate the messages released <br />in accordance with the county emergency plan. The emergency plan should define which <br />emergency situations should be announced for each medium. The media should not be ordinarily <br />relied upon as the primary means of warning. The following numbers can be used in the event a <br />Public Information Statement is to be issued.
