Portions of the following roads have now become flooded in addition to those previously identified on page 18, and traffic control should be implemented in these areas (see Plates 2-20 for flooded road locations): KOUNTZE NINTH TENTH WATER 3. Raise and remove property in the RED zone. Evacuate residences and businesses from the RED zone if raising of the property is determined not adequate, or the flood is predicted to crest in the RED zone. 4. Conduct search and rescue operations for stranded and isolated persons. 5. Request assistance from the State Office of Emergency Services through the Fremont County Emergency Director. LEVEL 3 RESPONSE ACTIONS In addition to the above mentioned Level 1 and 2 response actions, the following actions should be implemented if the flood crest is forecast to be in the RED or 50o-YEAR flood zone at the Arkansas River Canon City Gage: 1. Persons in the RED zone should take precautions and evacuate. See Appendix C for a list of identified structures. 2.
