Control Markers. All permanent and semi-permanent
control markers used for mapping instrument surveys
shall be shown and their respective elevations labeled
on the map. A summary listing showing northing,
easting, elevation, and a brief description of all
control markers and monuments is required. (See
Exhibit 3.)

L. Cross Sections. All field-surveyed and dig i tized cross
sectlons shall meet the following vertical tolerance as
related to ,true elevations:

1. All spot elevation points shall be wi thin + 0.5'.

2. The horizontal position of the cross-section data
points shall be referenced in such a manner that
their location can be reestablished within + 5.0'.

3. The cross-section alignment shall be shown on
finished mylar maps by a 0.005" scribed line with a
dot at the terminal points. The respective
horizontal coordinate values shall also be given on
the map.

4. Exhibit 1 prescribes the procedure for obta, ining
cross-section data.

M. Map Type. The CWCB will specify whether the final
maps wlll be line maps showing contours and topographic
features or maps showing contours with a photographic
background.

N.
