However, we spoke with spoke with <br />Mr. Neal Starkebaum, Gunnison County Assistant Planning Director. He is favorable of the designation <br />and indicated that he would return the designation request letter, The following summarizes his <br />comments: <br /> <br />. The U,S, Army Corps of Engineers is currently doing detailed studies for the Gunnison River north of <br />Gunnison, Ohio Creek, East River, Slate River, a reach of the Crystal River and Tomichi Creek east <br />of Gunnison. These are the areas with the most development pressure, <br /> <br />. They generally have not experienced any signficant problems with the mapping. <br />
