S. Corps of Engineers, Albuquerque District, <br />, has completed for the Pikes Peak A~ea Council of Governments a Flood <br />Plain Information Report, Monument Creek, Colorado Springs, Colorado, <br />dated 11ay 1971; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said Flood Plai~ Information Report outlines and <br />describes the flood water runoff cpannel on Monument Creek; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Article 149-l-ll(4)~Colorado Revised Statutes <br />1963, requires that the Colorado Wc;lter Conservation Board designate <br />and approve storm or flood water r~noff channels and to make such <br />designation available to legislati\re bodies ,of local jurisdictions; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Article 139-60-l, Colorado Revised statutes 1963, <br />provides that such cities, towns, incorporated areas, and local <br />, jurisdictions may provide zoning r~gulations for any storm or flood <br />\ water runoff channel only after de~ignation and approval by the <br />Colorado Water Conservation Board; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Pikes Peak Area Council of Governments has <br />requested the Colorado Water Conservation Board to designate and <br />approve the flood hazard areas as ~et forth in the aforesaid U. S. <br />Corps of Engineers Flood Plain Information Report; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the staff of the Board has reviewed said Flood <br />Plain Information Report and does hereby recommend to the Colorado <br />Water Conservation Board that said Board designate and approve as <br />flood hazard areas those areas set forth in the report as being <br />subject to an intermediate regional flood; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Colorado Water <br />Conservation Board in regular meeting assembled in Denver, Colorado <br />this 15th day of December, 1971, that it does hereby designate and <br />-,----approve-as-f-lood-hazard -areCfs-cnose areas descr~bea- as being in- <br />undated by an intermediate regional flood as set forth in the Flood <br />Plain Information Report for Monument Creek, Colorado Springs, <br />Colorado, dated May 1971; and <br /> <br />, <br />
