<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />FPR 304 <br /> <br />COLORADO WATER CONSERVATION BOARD <br />721 State Centennial Building <br />1313 Sherman Street <br />Denver, Colorado 80203 <br /> <br />January 19, 1990 <br /> <br />R ~ ~ Q ~ g I ~ Q N <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a floodplain information report entitled "Flood <br />Hazard Area Delineation, Big Dry Creek (ADCO), North Area <br />Tributaries," dated July, 1989, was. prepared by Wright Water <br />Engineers, Inc., under contract to the Urban Drainage and Flood <br />Control District; and ' <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said report describes and outlines detailed <br />floodplain information for Wadley South Creek, Wadley North <br />Creek, Short Run, Elms Run, Morris Creek, Morris Creek South, <br />Shay Ditch, Mustang Run, Mustang Run North, Sach Creek, Sach <br />Creek South, South Fork Preble Creek, and Preble Creek; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Urban Drainage and Flood Control District, in <br />conjunction with the communities of Adams County, the City of <br />Broomfield, the City of Thornton, and the City of Westminster, <br />has requested the Colorado Water Conservation Board to <br />designate and approve the floodplain information set forth in <br />the aforesaid report; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Section 37-60-l06(1)(c), Colorado Revised <br />Statutes, requires the Colorado Water Conservation Board to <br />assist in the prevention of floods and flood damages therefrom; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Sections 31-23-301 and 30-28-111, Colorado Revised <br />Statutes, provide that such legislative bodies of local <br />jurisdictions may provide zoning regulations for land uses on <br />or along any storm or floodwater runoff channel or basin only <br />after designation and approval by the Colorado Water <br />Conservation Board; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Section 37-60-l06(1)(c), Colorado Revised <br />Statutes, directs the Colorado Water Conservation Board to <br />designate and approve storm or floodwater runoff channels or <br />basins and to make such designations available to legislative <br />bod: esof local jurisdictions; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the said report meets all of the requirements for <br />designation as detailed floodplain information under the <br />Board's "Rules and Regulations for the Designation and Approval <br />of Floodplains and of Storm or Floodwater Runoff Channels in <br />Colorado" (2 CCR 408-1); <br /> <br />l667E* <br />
