<br />tion Report entitled "FloodPlain Information, Volume ,IV, Denver
<br />Metropolitan Region, Colorado," which includes Me Illtyr e Gulch; and
<br />

<br />WHEREAS, the 'Colorado Water,conservation Board,' as requested
<br />by the penver Regionai CounciL of Governments by resolUtion adopted
<br />, ,May 7, 1969, approved and designated the flOOdplains described in
<br />~ . . -
<br />BRid report; and

<br />WHE~EAS, a new floodplain information report entitled' j.
<br />"Flood Hazard(Area 'Delineation, McIntyre Gulch, city of Lakewoo~,'
<br />Colorado," dated bctober, 1977, has been prepared by Hydro-Tria"i$., '
<br />Ltd., at the request of the Urban Drainage and Flood Control District
<br />and the city of Lakewood; which report updates and revises the pr,e-
<br />vious information for McIntyre Gulch as prepared by the Corps of
<br />Engineers; and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, said report describes and outlines the floodplain
<br />data and ,information ' for the storm and floodwater runoff channels,or
<br />basins of the study area; and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the Urban Drainage and Flood Control District'
<br />has 'requested the ColoradO Water Conservation Board to designate .'.
<br />and approve the floodplain areas 'as set forth in ,the aforesaid:
<br />report; and

<br />WHEREAS, Section 37-60-106(1), ColoradO Revised Statutes

<br />1973, 'requires, the ColoradO Water Conservation Board to assist ~n '
<br />the prevention of floods and flood damages ther~tromL__and--

<br />WHEREAS, Sections 31-23-201 and 30-28-111, Colorado
<br />Revised'Statutes 1973, provide that such legislative bodies of
<br />local jurisdictions may provide zoning regulations for land uses on
<br />or along any storm or floodwater runoff channel or basin only after
<br />designation and approval by the Colorado Water Conservation Board;
