The Flood Frequency-Elevation <br /> <br />and Discharge Data table. Table I, list these elevations at selected reference <br /> <br />points. The Flooded Area Maps give the plan view of the flooded area on a con- <br /> <br />. tour base map and the high water elevations for the 100-year flood can be inter- <br /> <br />pOlated from this. The Flood Profile shows the streambed elevation and the high <br /> <br />water elevations for all four frequency floods. and the Cross Sections show a <br /> <br />graphical representation of the high water elevations at typical valley cross <br /> <br />sections throughout the stUdy reach. <br /> <br />The Flood Profiles may be used in areas where controversy arises over the <br /> <br />100-year flood boundary on the Flooded Area Maps. Since the Flood Profiles give <br /> <br />the elevations and distance or stationing from a known point the high water ele- <br /> <br />vations can be surveyed on the ground to alleviate any discrepancies on the base <br /> <br />map. <br /> <br />23 <br />
