<br />The final Phase A Report for Major DrainagewayPlanning for Clear Creek-
<br />Youngfield through Golden is attached. Tnisreportpresentsthebdsicdata
<br />relating to de~elopment of dlternat ive pi ans to reduce or el iminate flood
<br />hazard problems in the study area.

<br />In accordance witn the Contract, we have prepared a description of tnere-
<br />commended alternative. The recomm(:'ndatioll is a combination of structural
<br />and nonstructural techniques including thede.elOp1lent of a flood warning
<br />system for Clear Creek.
<br />
<br />The City of Golaen and Jefferson County should review tnis report and the
<br />alternathes present,;d so that an inform,;d deCision may b,; made as to which
<br />alternative should be pursued underPhaseBoftheContract. We would be
<br />pleased to make a formal presentation of the report and an,wer any questions
<br />about tne study.
