No. 183 <br /> <br />COLORADO WATER CONSERVATION BOARD <br />823 State Centennial Building <br />1313 Sherman Street <br />Denver, Colorado 80203 <br /> <br />April 1, 1982 <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />WHEREAS, A floodplain information report entitled "Flood <br />Hazard Area Delineation, Dad Clark Gulch, Douglas County, <br />Colorado," dated May, 1981, has peen prepared by the Jack G. Raub <br />Company at the request of Douglas County and the Mission Viejo <br />Company; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said report describes and outlines the floodplain <br />data and information for the sto~ and floodwater runoff channels <br />or basins of the study area; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Douglas County has requested the COlorado Water <br />Conservation Board to designate and approve the floodplain areas <br />as set forth in the aforesaid report; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS; Section 37-60-106(1), Colorado Revised Statutes <br />1973, requires the Colorado Water Conservation Board to assist in <br />the prevention of floods and flood damages therefrom; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Sections 31-23-201 and 30--28-111, Colorado Revised <br />Statutes 1973, provide that such legislative bodies of local <br />jurisdictions may provide zoning regulations for land uses on or <br />along any storm or floodwater runoff channel or basin only after <br />designation and approval by the Colorado Water Conservation <br />Board; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Section 37-60-106( 1) (c), Colorado Revised Statutes <br />1973, directs the Colorado Water Conservation Board.to designate <br />and approve storm or floodwater runoff channels or basins and to <br />make such designations available to legislative bodies of 10,cal <br />jurisdictions; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the staff of the Board has reviewed said report and <br />does hereby recommend to the Colorado Water Conservation Board <br />that the Board designate and approve as floodplain areas those <br />
