IMPORI'ANT MESSAGES FOR INPUT PREPARATION <br /> <br />1. The canplting time of this program is sensitive to the reach length <br />between two adjacent cross sections, OX. Very snall reach lengths which may <br />result in excessive canplting time should be avoided. In HEC-2, a down- <br />stream section and an upstream section are usually used at each bridge cro- <br />ssing, but these two sections should be combined into one, if possible, for <br />the FLUVIAL application. <br /> <br />2. The GR points used to define the ground profile should be selected <br />to provide an accurate definition of the initial profile. As such, suffi- <br />cient points should be used for each cross section. Also, large spacing <br />between adjacent points should be avoided even if there is no difference in <br />33 <br />
