Consultation Letters

As of the date of this application, consultation le1ters were received from the Colorado Historical
Society, and from the State of Colorado, Department of Public Health and Environment. As a result of
the initial inquiry letters sent out, a representative of the Corps of Engineers (404 Compliance), Mr.
Rex Fletcher, visited the site and toured the area with personnel from the City of Sterling. No wri1ten
comments have been received from Mr. Fletcher to date, however, he indicated that permitting for the
selected improvements involving the charmel along the Cemetery would not PoS(, a significant
permitting obstacle. Work along lhe Pawnee Creek channel downstream of the HWY 6 bridge will
likely require an Individual 404 permit, depending on the actual work as final designed.

II1-45
