Authorization This hydrologic analysis on the New Airport in the Box Elder Creek Watershed Study was performed by Kiowa Engineering Corporation (Kiowa) under contract with the Urban Drainage and Flood Control District (UDFCD). Specifically, work was completed under Agreement No. 87-09.03C dated July 19, 1988. The study sponsor in addition to UDFCD was the Denver New Airport Planning Office. B. Purpose and Scope The purpose of the study is to establish baseline hydrologic information for existing and future conditions. The futur~ condition was established for future development with the proposed New Denver Airport. Specific study tasks were as follows: 1. Collect information from the sponsors and interested parties. 2. Define basins and sub-basins boundaries. 3. Develop sub-basin runoff hydrographs for the 2-, 5-, 10-, and 100-year storm for existin9 development, and future development for the Box Elder Watershed Tributary within the New Denver Airport. 4. Route and combine the sub-basin hydrographs to develop peak flows at the des i gn poi nts. 5. Reconc il e any differences in flood pea ks between th is Study and other studies desi9nated by the State of Colorado or published by the UDFCD. 6. Submit a report summarizing the results of the study. 7. Submit supporting calculations and data to the UDFCD. C.
