<br />CWCB Actions in 1997 <br />. Implemented multi-objective Floodplain Management Studies for the South Platte, Arkansas, <br />and Roaring Fork River Basins. The purpose of these studies is to formulate a multi-use <br />approach to flood mitigation and flood-loss reduction for river basins flooded in 1995, <br /> <br />. Contract for a Statewide River Rehabilitation and Floodplain Management Inventory to asses <br />the flood mitigation needs by community <br /> <br />. Perform reconnaissance level flood mitigation investigations to address the impacts of the 1997 <br />flood events to the respective communities <br /> <br />. Prepare Flood Documentation Reports covering the 1997 Flood Events for Larimer, Morgan, <br />Logan, Baca, Crowley, Kiowa, Otero, Clear Creek, and Phillips counties <br /> <br />. Request supplemental funding for the preparation of flood mitigation plans for the communities <br />which were impacted by the 1997 flood events. These plans will assist these communities in <br />their response and implementation of flood reduction measures, <br /> <br />l:/wctrans/secalmisc/fpfacts.doc <br />
