In an area known as the "Prime ['rbanized Area Boundary" the floodplain was delineatec1. i.ncorporating <) .ceach of the St. Vrain Creek extending from 119th Street: approximately ,'f,8 miles upstream to Airport Road. The hydrology and detailed cross-secdon data developed in the June 1972 Army Corps of Engine"rs study waE utiU:<ed :In the January ]977 study, supplemented with additional cross-sections taken from a 1" ::: 4001, two foot contour interval map prepared by the i\coy Corps of Engineers jp 19/2. In April of 1981 Water Resources ConsuJt ants, Ine., prepared a report entitled "Floodplain Information, Flood COJ~tl~()l, and Floodplain Management Plan for St. Vrain Creek at Longmant, Colorado" for the City of Longmont, Boulder County, and the Colorado Water Corservation Board (Reference J).
