Ltd., Water Resource Engineers, at the request of the <br />,City of Montrose and ,Montrose County; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said report describes. and outlines 'the floodplain <br />data and,' information for the storm' and floodwater runoff channels <br />or basins of- the study area; and <br /> <br />" , <br />WHEREAS, the City of Montrose and the Board of countY , <br />Commissioners of Montrose County have requested the Colorado Water <br />Conservation, Board to designa.te and approve the flobdplain,areas <br />as s,et forth in the aforesaid report; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS. section 37-60-l06(l) , coloradO Revised Statutes 1973. <br />requires the colorado Water Conservation Board to ,assist in the <br />prevention of floods and flood damages therefrom; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, ,Sections 31-23-201, and 30-28-111. Colorado Revised <br />Stat,utes 1973, provide that such legislative bodies of. local <br />jurisdictions may provide zoning regulations fOr land uses on Or <br />along any storm or floodwater runoff channel or basin only after <br />, designation and approval by the ColOrado Water Conservation Board; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Section 37-60-106(1) (c), Colorado Revised statutes <br />1973. directs the ColoradO Water Conservation Board to designate <br />and approve storm or floodwater runoff channels or basins and to <br />make such designations available to legislative bodies of local <br />jurisdictions; and " <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the staff of the Board has reviewed said report and <br />does hereby recommend to the Colorado Water Conservation Board <br />that the Board designate and approve as floOdplain areas those <br />areas inundated by a 100-year flood (intermediate regional flood) <br />as described by the floodwater surface elevations and prOfiles in <br />said report; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Colorado Water conser- <br />vationBoard in regular meeting assembled in Denver, Colorado, <br />this 2nd day of December, 1980, that it does hereby designate and <br />
