Very little 1 can add to the Log Lane Project. The advantage of going wi~h
MorganCounly Water vs dlsadvan~ages have been discussed by both Mr. Ruchti
and Mr. Keich Eberhardt; final decision on this must be Mayor Thomas Smiths'
and the people of Log Lane Village.

Engineering plans to correct problems appear sound to me although cost of
these projects always s~em high. Possibly you could deduct any savings they
may accomplish from tho> loall amnunt.

Things you may want to consider:

1) Pine St. Well #1 and #2 are both old (33 yrs & 28 yrs) with 12 ga ca~ing.
In all probability these two wells would not survive treatment or surging
if this is planned.

2) Elm St. Well #3 Logs show pump co be set at 40ft. with capacity of 400-
500 gpm. P....p has 30 HP motor and bowl capabilities of 1400 gpm at total
well depch of 68 ft. Since this voluwo> of waler is not needed a more
efficient pump could be considered.

3) Many dead end lines on one street: (St. name forgotten) 1.001' On this
street would be ho>lpful.

4) Has consideration been given to storage? Elm St. well could produce d8~s
Deed with one hour p"'.pillK time if storage were available.

S) Ple3~e keep in mind that cost to syst:em due to SDWA regulations will
continue to increasc~
