Ten of the regions coincide with designated <br />regions of the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), The eleventh region is for all <br />countries outside of the United States. Membership is open to individuals and businesses in the <br />public and private sector who are involved with emergency preparedness in their community, <br /> <br />IAEM provides a professional certification program that recognizes experience, training and <br />contributions to the emergency management profession. There are currently more than 700 <br />Certified Emergency Managers (CEM) working not only in the United States but also <br />internationally. <br /> <br />e <br />
