<br />DATA SDURCES <br />FDR <br />DDUGLAS COUNTY HUD-FIA STUDIES <br /> <br /> <br />1. The drainage basins were determined using 7.5 min. quad maps. <br /> <br />2. Point rainfall amounts were obtained from NOAA Atlas 2 and con- <br />verted to average precipitation over the watershed area by applying <br />areal adjustment (NEH-4). <br /> <br />3. The soils information was obtained from the SCS report of Soil <br />Survey of Castle Rock Area, November 1974, an unpublished SCS study <br />of the area and our field investigations. <br /> <br />4. Vegetation information was obtained from Natural Plant Cover Map, <br /> <br /> <br />Douglas County, October 1971 and SCS unpublished reports. <br /> <br />5. The Douglas County Comprehensive Land Use Plan, April 1974, land <br />Use Map, Douglas County, August 1973, and present zoning maps were <br />used to obtain the land use information. <br /> <br />6. Curve numbers were obtained from SCS unpublished studies of the <br />area, our field investigation, and NEH-4. <br /> <br />7. Time of concentration was obtained from SCS unpublished studies, <br />7.5 min. quad maps of the area and the BUREC publication, Design <br />of Small Dams. <br /> <br />8, Channel roughness coefficients were obtained from SCS unpublished <br />studies, Water Supply Paper 1849, Open Channel Hydraulics by Chaw, <br />Handbook of Applied Hydraulics by Davis and Sorensen, third edition, <br />and our field investigations. <br /> <br />9. Cross section data was obtained by field measurements. All bridges, <br /> <br /> <br />culverts and other structures were surveyed to obtain elevation <br /> <br /> <br />data and structural geometry. <br />
