<br />5.4 Flood Insurance Rate Map Description <br /> <br />~s, for tnsuranc-e--p=pu"",,,, LIL", pr-i:ncip-a3:--r-esul t of the <br />Flood Insurance Study. This map contains the official <br />delineation of flood insurance zones and base flood <br />elevation lines. Base flood elevation lines show the <br />locations of the expected whole-foot water-surface <br />elevations of the base (lOO-year) flood. This map is <br />developed in accordance with the latest flood insurance <br />map preparation guidelines published by the Federal <br />Insurance Administration. <br /> <br /> <br />6.0 OTHER STUDIES <br /> <br />other studies for the City of Boulder include the Special <br />Flood Hazard Information Report for Boulder Creek (Refer- <br />ence 5) and the Flood Plain Information Report for Boulder <br />Metropolitan Region (Reference 6), both prepared by the U.S. <br />Army Corps of Engineers. In addition, Wright-McLaughlin <br />Engineers have studied Gregory Creek, Sunshine Creek, <br />Bluebell Canyon Creek, King Gulch, Skunk Creek, Two-Mile <br />Creek, Elmer's Two-Mile Creek, Goose Creek, Bear Canyon <br />Creek, Viele Channel, Anderson Dit~h, David's Draw (Refer- <br />ence 2) and a Flood Insurance Study was previously prepared <br />for the unincorporated areas of Boulder County (Reference <br />3). In 1977, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers revised the <br />hydrology and hydraulics for Boulder Creek. The new informa- <br />tion is incorporated into this study. Thus, the material <br />presented in this study is in agreement with or supersedes <br />that published in the above-mentioned studies. <br /> <br />7.0 LOCATION OF DATA <br /> <br />Tne hydrologic and hydraulic backup data, stream profiles, <br />and other back-up data used are on file at the office of the <br />U.
